Marchia Ann Hovatter

Marchia Ann Hovatter, age 65, of Beaver, WV passed away at her residence on Monday, September 15, 2025.

Born on November 8, 1959 in Hopewell, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Sanna and Geraldine Mills Lilly, and was also the daughter of Josiah Charles "J.C." Lilly of Ghent, WV.

Mrs. Hovatter was employed as a nursing supervisor at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed going on cruises, and taking care of her fur babies.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Nicholas Sanna Jr., and a sister Mary Josephine Sanna.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory, other than her father Josiah "J.C." Lilly, include her husband of 24 years, Timothy Hovatter; a daughter Aleyia Dawn DuBose and husband Jerrod of Jamestown, NC; a brother Michael Sanna of Ghent; a sister Angela Grimes and husband Johnny of Mount Hope; a sister Lelia Herald and husband Todd of Shady Spring; a sister Carmen Sanna of Beckley.  Numerous nieces and nephews, including special niece Carrie Wills of Shady Spring also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Funeral Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Shady Spring, WV on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 3:00 PM, with Pastor Michael McQuillen officiating. Burial will follow at the Tom Lilly Cemetery at Ghent, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 PM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Sanna, Jerrod DuBose, Steven Leippi, Addison Thompson, Ayden Roark, and Jon Wills.
