Mark Sayre Pence, Sr.

Mark Sayre Pence Sr.,(1961-2024) passed away peacefully in his hometown of Beckley, WV.

Although his life may have started and finished in this town, his life was filled with adventure.

He worked as a surveyor from the ripe old age of 14 and turned that into a lifelong career.

He traveled the southern east coast,  working and supporting himself until finding himself in Mooresville, North Carolina where he and Tracy raised their children, Jessica, Mark Jr and Lucas.

He established himself as a premier surveyor, and through all kinds of hardships, always supported his family.

Mark was beloved by his community, his colleagues, his friends and of course his family. He will be greatly missed.

A service to celebrate the life of Mark Sayre Pence Sr., will be held at 6 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley. Friends may gather with the family 30 minutes prior to the service.
