Marsha Bragg Farrish

Marsha Bragg Farrish, 70, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with dementia and Alzheimer's. Born on August 21, 1954, to Elenor Smith Bragg and Vinson Ray Bragg, Marsha grew up cherishing the beauty of God's earth, a value that shaped her life and passions.

Marsha is survived by her beloved children, Crystal Rierson-Villeneuve (husband, Bruno Villeneuve) and granddaughter Chloe Rae Rierson, all of Greensboro, NC, and Justin D. Farrish (wife, Natasha Farrish) and grandchildren Sydney Rae and Jackson Wayne Farrish, all of Jumping Branch, WV. She is also survived by her brother Dexter Ray Bragg (wife, Suzy Bragg) of Beckley, WV. Her grandchildren were the shining lights of her life, bringing her boundless joy and reminding her of the magic and wonder in the world.

A graduate of Montreat College, Marsha spent her career in manufacturing and human resources, where she guided countless individuals through career changes and relocations with compassion and encouragement. She retired after decades of dedicated service, having made her mark both professionally and personally.

Marsha's passions were as vast as her heart. She loved gardening, cooking, canning, baking, and savoring a hot cup of tea. She was an avid reader, finding inspiration in the gospel, self-help books, fiction, and everything in between. Marsha cherished long conversations with loved ones, and her vivacious laugh had the power to light up any room. She deeply loved her country and honored its veterans, as well as those who serve as first responders.

Marsha's family is forever grateful to the incredible staff at Rockin' Chair Senior Care in Lerona, WV, who went above and beyond in her final year of life care. They loved her deeply, embraced her spunky attitude and stories, and supported her family with extraordinary care and compassion.

A celebration of Marsha's life will take place on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, 729 Flat Top Road, Shady Spring, WV, 25918. Friends and family are invited to gather at 1:00 PM to pay their respects, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Marsha will be laid to rest at Flat Top Cemetery, where she will eternally rest in peace alongside her parents and grandparents immediately following the service.
