Martha Lorraine Griffin

Martha L. McIntyre Griffin of N. Sandbranch Rd, Mount Hope ,WV, formerly of Crab Orchard, WV passed away on September 15, 2025 after battling a long illness.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband of eight years, George C. Griffin and also by her parents, Golden and Ella McIntyre of
Crab Orchard.

She is survived By two sons, Michael J. McIntyre and Wife Anna of Raleigh ,N.C., and Jonathan E. Meador of Newport News, VA, brother Charles P. McIntyre of Beckley, WV, cousins Sheila Riffe of Beckley, WV and JoAnn Schlegler of Circleville, Ohio, her childhood sister, Connie Hampton, Sophia, WV, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart and soul always.

Martha loved nothing more than spending time with her family and enjoyed watching wrestling, Bon Jovi, Sammy Hagar, The Monkees, and was an avid Jeff Gordon fan. Her zest for life and willingness to always listen will be greatly missed. As a single parent to two rambunctious boys, Martha worked tirelessly to teach her boys a solid work ethic and a stubbornness to persevere through adversity. She was the strongest woman we know and her boys are left with a huge void without their mother. Mom, we love you and thank you.

Rest easy, momma.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Amos E. Quesenberry Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Beckley, WV from 12:30 PM-12:45 PM with graveside rites to follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest at the feet of her father.
