Mary Ann Morrison, age 67, of Stanaford, WV, passed away at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV on Saturday, July 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 22, 1959 in Beckley, WV, she was the daughter of the late Billy Allen Bays and Annie Marjorie Simpson.

Mary, as she was known by family and friends, worked at the Beckley Pancake House until its closing in 2007. She last worked as the manager of White Pines Community in Stanaford. Mary was a member of Family Worship Center in Beckley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her fiancé of 25 years, Dale Auxier.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, Ashlee Belcher and husband Joe of Glen Daniel, and Amanda DelMoro and husband Pete of Stanaford; her brother C.E. Bays and wife Kathy of Stanaford; grandchildren, Halee Belcher of Beckley, Alexis Smith of Stanaford, and Joesiah Belcher of Glen Daniel; great grandson Phillip “Trea” Cox of Beckley, and great granddaughter due in October 2026; nephew David Bays and wife Stacy of Crab Orchard; niece Rebekah Rutherford of Beckley; nephew Robert Bays and wife Colleen of North Myrtle Beach, SC.

Mary’s family finds peace in knowing her and her fiancé were together to watch the fireworks once again.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Keith Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
