Mary Jane Shrewsberry

Mary Jane Shrewsberry, age 84, of Shady Spring, WV passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Beckley Health Care Center in Beckley, WV.

Born on January 24, 1940 at Camp Creek,  she was the daughter of the late Leonard Kessinger and Pansy Lilly Kessinger.

Mrs. Shrewsberry was a homemaker,  and had attended White Oak Missionary Baptist Church.  She and her husband, the late David Shrewsberry were married on May 30, 1957.  Mrs. Shrewsberry was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Shrewsberry is survived by three children, Dwight of Flat Top, Russell and his wife Darlena of Shady Spring, and Kim and companion Brian of Summersville. Three grandchildren, David and wife Amber of Masontown,  Doug and wife Shannon of Morgantown, and Phillip of Cool Ridge; five great grandchildren Jonathon, Brooklyn, Braxton, Josh, and Brielle.

Graveside rites and burial will be held at the Kessinger Cemetery at Camp Creek, WV on Thursday,  August 8,  2024 at 3 PM with Rev. Orville Setliff officiating. There will be no visitation.
