Melody Karol Calacino, age 77, of Beckley, WV  peacefully passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 6, 2024  surrounded by her loving family.

Born on March 18, 1946 in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late Maxwell Malcolm and Alberta Reynolds  Malcolm.

Melody "Mimi" an extraordinary woman,  as she was known by family and friends was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Melody was of the Christian faith. Melody loved her family, she put her whole life into her family. She was the glue that held the family together and a light to everyone that she met. Melody will be remembered for her kind heart, loving soul, incredible personality,

In addition  to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter Melody Martin; a grandson Bradly Joe Williams; and by nine brothers and sisters.

Those  survivors left to cherish her memory include her children; Alex Calacino of Morgantown, Michelle Calacino of Beckley, and Bobbie Hylton and husband Gerald "Bud" Hylton of Beckley. Two brothers, Melvin Malcolm and wife Carol of Virginia, and John Malcolm of Michigan;  Grandchildren and great grandchildren, Chelsie Jo Williams and daughters, Emily Maddlinn "Maddi May," Sophia Raylyn, and a little boy on the way. Holly Marie Williams and son, Wadeyn Alexander, Savannah Spring Williams and fiance Allen Matthew Blackwood "High Pockets" and their son, Ryder Bradly Ray Blackwood, Kaitlynn Alexis Evans and husband Jamason Evans and son, Lennon Cole Evans and daughter, Renleigh Saige Evans, Christopher Alexander Calacino, Ashley Marie Martin and children, Hunter and Chloe Moore, Angela Martin and children, Landon, Carter and Elijah Pettry, Taylor Martin and daughter, Brooklynn.

Funeral services will be conducted  at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Monday, March 11, 2024 at noon with Minister Paul Zutaut officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV.  Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
