Melvin Ray Goode

Melvin Ray Goode, age 68, of Thurmond, WV passed away at Bowers Hospice House in Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born on October 13, 1955 in Thurmond, he was the son of the late Alex Goode and Hazel Moran Goode.

Mr. Goode was a retired mechanic, and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Patty and Mildred.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his brother Larry Goode of Allen Junction, and a sister Dollie Ward of Oak Hill. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside rites and burial will be held at the Goode Cemetery on Bud Mountain, WV on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 2 PM with Rev. Keith Manning officiating.

There will be no visitation.
