Mildred "Mickey" Sue Thomson

Mildred Sue Thomson, age 81, of Beckley, WV passed away at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV on Wednesday, September 17, 2024.

Born on December 9, 1942 in Lacombe, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Archie Holmes and Cleo Womack Holmes.

Mickey as she was known by family and friends, was a homemaker and  was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed reading and shopping,  and her passion was serving others. Mickey served as a caregiver for many, and had made her home in the Pineville, Louisiana area most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Thomson; a daughter, Connie Stokley, four siblings, Mareen Holmes Wilson, Doris Holmes, Bernard Oswald Hughes, and Johnny Ray Tatterson.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, Stephen Thomson  and wife Katie of Beckley, Jimmy Stokley of Pineville, Louisiana, Rodney Holmes of Pineville, Louisiana, and Chantal Kerry of Pineville, Louisiana; grandchildren, Jade, Carly, Samara, Kinley, Kendal, Christian, Conner, Stella, Bentley, and London; great grandchildren, Layla and Adam, with another soon to be born. Mickey is also survived by one brother, Gary W. Tatterson and wife Marilyn of Flatwoods, Louisiana.

According to Mickey's personal wishes, no services will be held.
