Millard H. "Doc" Wright

Millard H. "Doc" Wright, 83, of Beckley, WV passed away at the Raleigh Center in Daniels, WV on Thursday, November 6, 2025.

He was born at Glen Rogers, WV on January 21, 1942, and grew up at Bolt, WV.  Mr. Wright was the son of  the late Sam Wright and Gladys Wright Mewbourne.

He was retired from Dupont, and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Wright  was a member of  Beckley Masonic Lodge, #95 A.F. &A.M. Mr. Wright was the owner and operator of the Right Door Company in Beckley for 21 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David, and a sister Sue Bryant; a nephew Jason Wright.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of 61 years, Sandra; a son Todd and wife Joyce; a granddaughter, Diana Brooke, who was "the apple of his eye"; brothers, Sammy and wife Ginger, and Arthur and wife Terry; a  sister Nancy Armstrong. Several nieces and nephews also  survive.

The family wishes to thank the Raleigh Center for their compassion and care of Doc.

A private graveside rite and burial will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV on Monday, November 10, 2025, with Rev. Keith Manning officiating.

There will be no visitation.
