It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Jane Kessinger Anderson, age 84, on May 11th 2024 at the Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, West Virginia, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Nancy was born on March 27th 1940 in Beckley, West Virginia.

She was a former manager for C&P Telephone Company and then Verizon.  She loved and enjoyed reading her bible, sitting on the back porch with Bruce, going to the beach, attending the WWHS class of 1959 reunions, dancing, and gardening.

She is survived by husband of 62 years who was her best friend and rock, Bruce Anderson; her cherished granddaughters, Tearson McKinney and Shea Tacchia; sisters Delores Rowe (husband - Maury), Sharon Lane, Diane Hicks, and Robin Dillard; brothers Johnny Gabriel (wife – Susan), and Ricky Gabriel (wife – Barbara); a special cousin who was like a sister, Drema Robertson; brother-in-law Don Anderson (wife – Lana); sister-in-law Bonnie Wareham (husband – Scott); her brother-in-law Steve Grzybowski, many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends, all of whom will dearly miss her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Michelle Lee McKinney; her parents, Bill and Wilda Kessinger, and Tom and Della Cook, and now there will be a joyous reunion in heaven.

The family wishes to extend a special "Thank You" to the Nurses and Doctors of the Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital and especially the Nurses and Dr. Khanna at the CAMC Cancer Center.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 16th 2024, from 10am-11am, at Sunset Memorial Park Chapel, Mausoleum Number 2, Immediately following Visitation, Committal Service will be conducted by Pastor Paul Blizard.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV.
