Nellie Bainbridge of The Villages, FL passed away on October 2, 2024 at the age of 92.
Nellie was born to Albert H. Peters and Esmilda Ramirez Peters in Colon, Panama.
She is survived by her two daughters Louella Rawlerson (husband Frank Rawlerson) and Ella Young Wynne. Nephews, Danny Peters and Mario Peters. Grandchildren, Amina Wynne, Ihsan Wynne, Karmella Wynne (Freedon Fortune) and David Rawlerson. Great grandchildren, Shamad Wynne-Thompson, Ishad Wynne-Thompson, Iyana Wynne, Autumn Wynne, Skyla McDowell, Trinity Rawlerson, Freedom Kruze Wynne-Fortune, Max (her loyal dog) and several nieces and nephews in Panama.
Nellie was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She came to the United States at the age of 18 seeking a better life for her family. She attended Girls High in Brooklyn, NY, worked at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital then North Broward Medical Center in Pompano Beach, FL.
She enjoyed working in her garden growing hot peppers and tending to her flowers, plants and trees. She never met a stranger and treated everyone like family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Donations in her honor can be made to your local hometown animal shelter.
Burial will follow in Pompano Beach, FL.
