Patricia Ann Shrewsbury

Patricia Ann Shrewsbury, age 70, Beckley,  WV passed away at her home on Monday, May 11, 2026 following a sudden illness.

Born on April 10,1956 in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Martha Ann Dobbins Richmond.

Patty, as she was known by family and friends was a 1974 graduate of Woodrow  Wilson High School. She spent her childhood on Allen Avenue in Beckley. Patty worked as a care giver for RESCARE, and was a gifted seamstress. She was well-loved by everyone that knew her.

She last attended the MacArthur Church of God, and loved taking care of her cats.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her siblings; Robert Ernest "Ernie" Richmond and wife Paula McCoy of Beckley, James  Harold "Jimmy" Richmond and wife Vivian of Jax Beach, FL, Carol Hedrick of Grandview, Janet Wilson and husband David of Mount Hope, and Mary Akers of  Atlanta, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
