Patrick Henry Murphy

Patrick Henry Murphy passed away on June 13, 2024 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Pat was born in Beckley in 1948.  He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1966 and entered military service in the Army in 1967.  He was stationed at the DMZ in South Korea where he worked on heavy machinery.  After he left the Army he went on to auto mechanics technical training in St. Louis, MO and spent most of his working career as a mechanic at Heiner's Bakery and working at auto parts stores.

Pat loved to help people any way he could. His hobbies included boating, dancing, karaoke, and listening to music. He was a long-time member of the Moose Club.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Otmer and Garnet Murphy.

He is survived by this sister, Sally Ann (Murphy)  "Sam" Hendricks of South Carolina.

A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 11 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Beckley.
