Patsy Evon Williamson

Patsy Evon Williamson, age 76 of Shady Spring, WV passed away  peacefully at the Raleigh Center in Daniels, WV on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

Born on October 14, 1948 in Odd, WV, she was the daughter of the late Jasper and Helen Hatcher Shrewsberry.

Patsy was a road construction crew member for ten years, and helped build many bridges in West Virginia. She was a member of the Shady Spring Carpenter's Union, and  finished her working career as a dedicated waitress at the Pizza Hut in Beaver, WV with twenty years of service.

Patsy enjoyed  music, dancing, flower gardening, watching movies,  dining out, and going to yard sales. She loved hosting many family reunions. Patsy was very witty, and enjoyed being in the company of  her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Douglas Williamson, and  by a brother, Jerry Shrewsberry. Many years after her husband's death, Patsy met her long-time companion George Whitlock, who also preceded her in death.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Sabrina Young and husband David of Callahan, Florida. She is also survived by a uncle, Harry Shrewsberry of Cary, Illinois. Patsy had a fondness for her many nieces and nephews, especially her niece Angela Winter.The family extends special thanks to Sharon Crook and Rita Farley, for the help given to Patsy during her illness.

Funeral services will be conducted to Celebrate the Life of Patsy Williamson on Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel at 3:00 PM with Rev. Donnie Fink officiating. A eulogy will be delivered by, Alice Faye Loftus, with music provided by Rick Lilly. Burial will follow at the, Paris Shrewsberry Cemetery at Ghent, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.  Pallbearers will be Jimmie Peters, Eric Crook, Corey Shrewsberry, Michael Loftus, Glenn Whitlock, and Warren Shrewsberry.
