Paul Franklin Maynor, Sr., age 80, of Upper Sandlick, WV went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 2:30 AM, following a long illness. He had been a resident at the Raleigh Center at Daniels, where the staff and other residents loved him for the past 4 years.
Born on August 27, 1945, at Clear Creek, he was the son of the late Easton Maynor and Zettie Lilly Maynor.
Mr. Maynor was a member of Spruce Tabernacle Church in Clear Creek.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 33 years, Goldie Ann Maynor; his sisters, Flossie "Sissy" Dillon, Joyce Jarrell, Billy Joe Burgess, and Dorothy Price; a brother Jimmy Maynor; two nephews Ronald Lee Maynor and Keith Jarrell.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his three sons, Paul Maynor Jr. and wife Geraldine, Thomas Maynor and fiancé Rachel Hutchens, and Matthew Maynor and wife Tiffany. Grandchildren, Felisha Maynor, Selyna Maynor, Dallas Maynor, Jacob Maynor, "Little" Tommy Maynor, Emery Hutchens, Eric Hutchens, Jensen Maynor, Draven Maynor, Madison Maynor, Payton Maynor, and Lincoln Maynor; great grandchildren Aubrey Williams, Greyson Lester, Ezra Boulet, Waylon Adkins and Laekyn Adkins. He is also survived by a brother, Ronald Maynor; sisters, Anna Lou and husband Lowell Wriston, and Vickie Bailey, along with many sisters-in-law, brothers -in-law, and nieces and nephews.
Mr. Maynor was a gentle and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed playing his guitar and other instruments, being outside, and being around his family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 3:00 PM, with Rev. Jerry Tyree officiating. Burial will follow at the Turner Cemetery at Upper Sandlick, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
