Paul Ray Richmond, age 85, of Daniels, WV passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024 at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, WV.

Born on October 12, 1938 in Pear, he was the son of the late Theodore Richmond and Mary Stinnett  Richmond.

Mr. Richmond was a retired construction worker and semi-truck driver. He was a member of the Gospel Chapel at Daniels, and was member of West Virginia Laborers Union. He enjoyed trains, reading his bible and bible studies, and taking care of his lawn. He also loved playing music with various bluegrass instruments. Mr. Richmond had made his home at Meadow Creek and Pluto for many years, and lastly at Daniels.

In addition to his parents, he was  preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia "Sister" Bennett Richmond; second wife Kathleen Plumley Richmond; three children Susie Ward, Ruby Gill  and Richard "Cowboy" Plumley; a grandson Billy Dunn; by sister Mabel " Evelyn" Hatcher, and by two brothers Ross and Leon Richmond; several infant brothers and sisters.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Melissa Buckland and husband Jeff  of Forest Hill; step-daughters Brenda Todd of Beckley, Linda Adkins and husband Lowell "Shotgun" of Daniels, and Pam Adams and husband Gary of Daniels; a brother James Richmond and wife Betty of Shady Spring. Two grandsons,  Kevin Ward and wife Carolyn, and Steven  Ward and wife Natalia of Chicago, IL; three step grandchildren, Kimberly Turnes and husband Mike of Fayetteville,  Gary "Lee" Adams Jr. and wife Chrissy of Daniels, and Alisha Bennett and husband Josh of Beckley. Eight great grandchildren, and one niece and one nephew also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and  Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 11 AM with Pastor Luke Richmond officiating. Burial will  follow at Restwood  Memorial Gardens at Madams Creek near Hinton, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 6 PM until 8 PM on Monday at the funeral home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
