Paulette June Kelly

Paulette June Clay Kelly, age 81, of Beckley, WV passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV.

Born on June 9, 1943 in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late Henry Paul Farley and Audra June Shafer Farley.

Paulette, as she was known by family and friends was a former school teacher in Raleigh County, last teaching at Central Elementary School. She also had served as a substitute teacher in Wetzel County. Paulette was of the Baptist faith, and had attended Memorial Baptist Church in Beckley. Paulette was a graduate of Concord College, (now  Concord University), and Woodrow Wilson  High School.

Those survivors  left to cherish her memory include her children, Leonard Clay II and wife Kathryn of Palm Coast, FL, Angela Clay of Beckley, and Leah-Ann Clay Schmid and husband Robert of Shady Spring. Five grandchildren, Aaron, Lacie, Robert, Caleb and Abigail; a great grandchild Aidan. Two brothers, Larry Farley and wife Patty of Beckley, and Thomas Farley and wife Leslie of Crab Orchard. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum in Beckley, WV on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 11 AM. Friends may visit with  family one hour  prior to the services at the mausoleum on Wednesday.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow at the cemetery.
