Pauline Daisy Tucker

Pauline Daisy (Jones) Tucker, age 91, of Beckley, WV went home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2026, surrounded by love at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Bristol, Va.

Born in Abraham, WV on November 7, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Daisy (Kincaid) Jones. Pauline was a lifelong resident of Raleigh County, and a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1952. She lived a life rooted in faith, family and quiet strength.

Pauline retired from Bill Straub State Farm Insurance after many years of faithful service, where she was known for her dedication, kindness and strong work ethic.

She was a longtime and devoted member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Pauline loved her Church deeply and faithfully served in many roles over the years, including singing in the choir, serving as treasurer, participating in Ladies Lift, cooking for church dinners, and being known for her delicious potato soup, and always stepping in where ever help was needed. Though she was unable to remain active in recent years, her faith and service touched countless lives.

Before the passing of her beloved husband in 2017, some of Pauline's happiest times were spent with him and family at the camp on the river, creating memories that will be cherished forever. In her younger years, she loved sewing, making all of the wedding party dresses for her son and daughter's in law wedding, as well as knitting and tending to flowers.

She also enjoyed Sunday dinners after church with family. Pauline found peace in reading her Bible, working her Bible Word Search Books, and simply being with those she loved most.

She was lovingly known as Nana to so many. She treasured her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren beyond words, loving them fiercely and faithfully. She cherished time spent visiting her children in Bristol, watching her great grandchildren play sports, attending school luncheons and award ceremonies and enjoying special sleepovers.

In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Jessie Tucker, her son Larry Wayne Tucker, and siblings, Eldana Smith, Lorene Plumley, Susie Metrick, and Mary Catherine Thompson.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her son Richard Lee Tucker and daughter-in-law that she loved like a daughter, Patti of Bristol, Va; her grandsons, Joseph Wayne Tucker and wife Elaine, of Marion, Va, and Chad Lee Tucker and wife Samantha of Bristol, Va; her great grandchildren, Addison and Hannah Tucker of Marion Va, and Ava and Zane Tucker, of Bristol, Va, along with many nieces and nephews who will forever treasure her memory.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the friends and family who lovingly supported Pauline while she lived in her home in Beckley WV, and to Caress Hospice Team in Bristol, Va, whose compassion and kindness meant more than words can express.

Pauline was a Godly woman who loved Jesus with all of her heart. Pauline lived her faith daily through love, service and grace. Her life was a beautiful example to all who knew her, and her love will continue to guide us until we are together again.

Funeral Services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor John Prichard and Pastor Chris Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family from noon until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
