Pauline Pack Bennett Vest, age 98, of Daniels, WV passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.
Born on November 8, 1926 at Streeter, WV (Summers County), she was the daughter of the late Alfred Berman Pack and Mary Melissa Cooper Pack.
Mrs. Vest was a homemaker, and was of the Primitive Baptist Faith. She resided in Raleigh, WV for 43 years, and had made her home at Daniels, WV for the last 27 years.
Mrs. Vest was a 35 year member of the Order Of The Eastern Star. She enjoyed shopping, quilting, cooking, canning, gardening, flowers, going to Goodwill, and drinking frozen cokes.
Mrs. Vest was an avid reader, and was very intellectual on family genealogy. She loved Christmas and " Big Family Dinners". At the age of 98, she still possessed much wit and charm, and was very strong willed!
Mrs. Vest was preceded in death by husbands, Roscoe W. Bennett and Otis J. Vest; daughter Sue Todd; sisters Bonnie Cole and Annabelle Bennett; two sons-in-law Dickie Todd and Jerry Cochran.
She is survived by daughter, Mary Cochran of Sophia, WV; son Rick Vest and wife Angie of Hampton, VA; daughter Vickie Kincaid and husband Jack of Daniels, WV, (with whom she made her home); a sister Bertha Lilly of Nimitz, WV. Mrs. Vest was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends, including a special friend Ruth Taylor of Daniels. She was expecting one great-grandchild, due to be born in March 2026.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 1:00 PM, with Elder Tommy Pack officiating. Burial will follow at the Lilly Crews Cemetery at Nimitz, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
