Pete Mills

Lester "Pete" Mills, age 58, of Egeria, WV, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Princeton Community Hospital.

Born on April 15, 1966, in Beckley, he was the son of the late John Doyle Mills and Frances Louise Dick Mills.

Pete was a Truck Driver for many years, working mostly with D&M Trucking Company and Meador Wood Products.

He attended Fairview Freewill Baptist Church at Flat Top, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Cathy Meadows Mills;  his children,  Lester "Les" Mills, Rebecca Pendleton and husband T.J., and Jonathan Mills and wife Kayla, all of Flat Top; adopted children Haylie and Faith, both at home; four grandchildren, Bryson Pendleton, Tyler James Pendleton, John Mills and Jacob Mills;  a brother Marvin Dale "Bear" Dick and wife Diane of Des Plaines, Illinois; a best friend Robert Blankenship of Flat Top.

Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel in Shady Spring, WV on Saturday March 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM with Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Brammer Cemetery at Egeria, WV. Friends may visit with the family from noon until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Les Mills, Jonathan Mills, T.J. Pendleton, Justin Wills, Matthew Carr and Robert Blankenship.
