Rachel Blankenship

Rachel Blankenship, age 82, ended her life journey and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 29, 2024.

She passed away at her home in Huntington, WV, but was formerly of New Richmond, WV.

The sixth of seven siblings, she was born January 30, 1942. Rachel was a member of the former Old Regular Baptist Church at Herndon Heights.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Powell Lusk and Edna Lester Lusk; by her husband of 43 years, Nelson Blankenship of Huntington, WV., and by her six siblings.

Rachel is survived by  her daughter and son-in-law, and grandson, Anita June and Bruce Bias, and Luke of Huntington, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 2 PM with Elder Nathan Lane officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family thirty minutes prior to the services on Saturday at the  funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
