Ralph Carl Yoney, age 77, of Glen Morgan, WV passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, July 22, 2024.

Born on June 25, 1947 in Morgantown, WV, he was  the son of the late Mary Evelyn Yoney.

Ralph was a decorated US Navy Veteran who served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He had numerous jobs including road construction, coal mining, and owning his own business, Black Gold Coal Crafts.

He was married to the love of his life, Janet for 55 years, before her passing on June 11, 2024.

Ralph was a Christian and a member of Faith Community Church in Beckley. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed coin- collecting, gardening, watching sports, but above all attending church.

Ralph was preceded in death by his mother, his wife Janet, a son Ralph Carl Yoney Jr., a daughter Rachel Thompson and three siblings, infant brother Dominick, brother Bob, and sister Helen.

Those left to cherish his memory include a son, Kevin Yoney wife Cara of Cool Ridge, a daughter Melanie Sisson and husband Chris of Shady Spring; a grandson Kevin Yoney II and wife Zoey of Flat Top, granddaughter Chelsey Wood and fiancé Jared of Coal City, granddaughter  Katie Yoney  Plumley and husband Willie of Bennett Mountain. Four great grandchildren Ellie Rae, Axel Arlo, Wyatt Kayce, and Baby Watson soon to be born.  He also leaves behind a dear friend, Dan Holstein.

Funeral services will be conducted at Faith Community Church in Beckley on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 5 PM with Rev. Dan Holstein officiating.  Friends may visit with the family from 3:30 PM until 5 PM on Thursday at the church. A private burial with military rites will be held at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery at Dunbar, WV on Monday morning July 29, 2024 at 11:30 AM.
