Randall Jarrod Pugh

Heaven has received a special angel and new worship leader.  Randall Jarrod Pugh of Beckley WV passed away surrounded by family at Bowers Hospice House following a three-year battle with brain cancer. Anyone who knew Jarrod knew he was a fighter, and his legacy would not be defined by this disease. "Hulk Strong" became a way of life and was an inspiration to so many people. His love for family and God was shown every day of his life. Being a dad was the greatest joy of his life and you couldn't go a day without hearing about Abigail, Lillian and Asher. They were the joys of his life as well as his beautiful wife Kristyn.

Jarrod enjoyed singing, playing the piano, leading others to the Lord and sharing his smile and positivity with people around him.  You couldn't be in a room with him and not experience that warm loving smile.  He grew up in Glen Daniel, WV to two amazing parents Randall and Carole Pugh who taught him the importance of working hard and having a servant's heart.  He continued that legacy throughout his life working with multiple ministries and churches helping advance the kingdom of God.  Later in life he started his own steam cleaning business and was known as "Mr. Steam" throughout town. His children loved to wear his Mr. Steam shirts and were very proud of their daddy.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents James and Peggy Pugh and Herb and Wapella King. Cousins Angela Pugh and Philip Pugh and Uncle Jonathan Pugh.

He is survived by his wife Kristyn, his children, Abigail, Lillian and Asher, parents Randall and Carole Pugh, his sister Peggy Pugh and niece Audrey, and father and mother-in-law, Matthew and Kimberly Odell.  He is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts and uncles who loved him very much and were with him over the last few days at Hospice House.

The family would like to thank Bowers for all the help and support that was given during this difficult time.  His nurses Margaret, Ashley, Andee, Alicia, CJ and Alecia were such a comfort to him and his family and they are eternally grateful.

A Worship Celebration of Jarrod will be held at Faith Community Church on Friday, September 27, 2024. Visitation will be 11:00 AM-2:00 PM with service starting at 2:00 PM. Burial following at Sunset Memorial Park.

In Lieu of flowers the family has asked you to donate to his children's 529 college plan.  Contact his sister Peggy at peggy.pugh@yahoo.com for more details.
