Randy Ray Basham

Randy Ray Basham, age 81, of Crab Orchard, WV, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley.

Born on September 17, 1943, in Hinton, he was the son of the late Estel and Molly Basham. Mr. Basham was a purchasing agent at Beckley Coal Mine for many years. He was a member of Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting and 4-wheeler riding.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Basham was preceded in death by wife Bonnie Basham, a daughter Susan Annette Basham, and a son, Estil Ray Basham and Granddaughter Tara Basham.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his son Mike Basham of NC and longtime girlfriend Monica Vega of NC, a sister, Patsy Cambell of Beckley WV; a Brother in- law Jerry St. Clair of Coal City and three grandchildren, , Virginia Basham, Andrew Blair and Tony Blair; six great grandchildren, Isiah Blair, Tyler Blair, Josh Reed, Jackson Reed, Ethan Furr, and Aden Furr; and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 1:00 PM, with Pastor R. D. Tolliver officiating. A burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
