Randy "Taters" Lynn Workman

Randy Lynn Workman (Taters) of Clear Creek, WV died at the age of 67 on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. He passed peacefully at Bowers Hospice House with his loving wife by his side following a short, hard fought illness.

Randy was born on March 24, 1957, in Beckley, and was the son of the late Nadine Workman Teague Bailey and Emerson Stover. He was preceded in death by both parents, a brother Gerry Teague, and nephew "Little" John Thompson.

Randy was a graduate of Clear Fork High School, class of 1975. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA.  He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening as well as being outdoors. He loved all sports, especially WVU Football and Basketball.

Survivors include his wife, Anita; son Paul (Little Tater), and sister Vickie of Clear Creek; sister Betsy Thompson and husband John of Tallassee, Alabama, as well as many nieces  and nephews, multiple loved in-laws, special friends, and sporting and fishing buddies.

Services  will be held at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, WV on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 1 PM with Rev. Jerry Lawrence and Rev. Joe Barnett officiating. Burial will follow at the Workman Family Cemetery at Clear Creek, WV.  Friends may visit with the family from 11AM until 1 PM on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be nephews and special fishing buddies.
