Reba Kay Frost

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Reba Frost, who left this world on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the age of 70.

Born on June 28 1955, in Fireco, West Virginia, Reba lived a life marked by love, resilience, and devotion to her family. She was a guiding light and a steady presence, always offering kindness, wisdom, and warmth to those around her.

To her family, she was more than a grandmother — she was a second mother, a protector, and a role model. She stepped in with open arms and raised her grandchildren with love, instilling in them the values of strength, compassion, and faith. Her influence will live on in the lives she touched and the lessons she shared.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Opal Thompson and Stephen Bennett; her stepfather, Curt Thompson; and her son, Jonathan Shively.

She is survived by her children, Scott Shively, Mikey Shively, and Samantha Frost; her stepmother, Della Bennett; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Sharon Bennett Maurer, Debby McKee, Robin Howard, Donna Roberts, Grover Thompson, James Sears, and Stephen Bennett. They will forever cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Amos E. Quesenberry Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Beckley, WV. Visitation for family begins at 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM for friends. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity, WV.  Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life, share stories, and remember the beautiful soul that she was.

Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that her love will remain with us always. Her legacy of strength and selflessness will never be forgotten.
