Rebecca (Becky) Wickline of Beckley, WV, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
Becky lived a life full of warmth, faith, and deep devotion to those she cared about.
She was born April 1, 1957, and was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Joanne Lovell.
Becky was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Steven (Steve) Wickline of Beckley, with whom she shared 43 years of marriage; her two beloved children, Hannah DeLong (Jack) of Marion, Ohio, and Andy Wickline (Haley) of Beckley, WV. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Drew and Blake Workman and Parker and Hattie Wickline, who brought her immense joy.
She is also survived by her sisters, Barb Kell and Janet Workman, both of Prosperity, WV, and her beloved niece, Sarah Kell, as well as in-laws, many cousins, aunts, and her remaining uncle.
Becky attended Southern Illinois University and Western Kentucky University.
She began her medical coding career at Beckley Hospital, where she worked for many years. She also worked at Raleigh General Hospital. She finished her career at the VA Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia, where she worked until her retirement in August 2025.
Outside of work, Becky's faith was an important part of her life. She was an active member of Gateway Christian Church – Beckley Campus, where she found great joy in worship, fellowship, and serving her community. Becky also loved cooking, spending time with her family, and being at any beach where there was sand and sunshine.
Becky was truly full of life and had a way of making everyone around her feel welcome and loved. Her deep love for her family was the center of her world, and the memories she created with them will be cherished forever.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Gateway Christian Church – Beckley Campus, 215 N. Eisenhower Dr., Beckley, WV. The family invites all who knew Becky to attend and share their memories.
In lieu of flowers, and in honoring Becky's wishes, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to Gateway Christian Church – Beckley Campus c/o Gateway Christian Church, ATTN: Abigail Oliver, P.O. Box 1475, St. Albans, WV 25177.
