Richard "Rick" Lee Meadows

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Richard "Rick" Lee Meadows, 77, of Beckley, on December 18, 2025, at his home.

A proud Navy veteran, Rick served aboard the USS Enterprise during the Vietnam War and later dedicated 32 years of service to the Beckley VA Hospital, where he retired as an Administrative Support Service Line Chief.  His commitment to fellow veterans and his work family was a source of great pride.

Rick never met a stranger. He was known for his humor and sarcasm, his generous heart, and his way of making everyone feel welcome. He loved Corvettes, NHRA racing, music by the Eagles, golf outings with his wife and friends, moon pies, and most of all, his grandkids, who brought him endless joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lacy and Eula Beth Meador Meadows; a brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Meadows; a sister, Karen Heaton; a daughter, Valerie Raymond; a son, Adam Meadows; and a nephew, John Douglas Lamb.

Rick is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Delora "Squeaky" Meadows of Beckley, with whom he shared a beautiful life; daughter Rachel Pino and husband, Thomas Slowikowski of Fayetteville; son Joshua Pino of Ravenel, SC; daughter Kristen Meadows of FL; a sister, Patti Morum and husband, Roy of Ghent; a brother, Jim Meadows and wife, Tracy of Jumping Branch, and grandchildren he held dear - Mia Pino, Jackson Pino, Lilli Kate Pino, Solé Pino - as well as additional grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A service to honor Rick's life will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley with Pastor Delmas Wolfe officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.

Military honors will be rendered in recognition of his brave and faithful service to our country.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Rick's honor to Hospice of Southern WV or the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

Private online condolences and other expressions of sympathy may be directed to the family via our guestbook at www.roseandquesenberry.net .

Arrangements by Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, 1901 South Kanawha Street, Beckley, WV.
