Richard Ellis Moss

Richard Ellis Moss, age 54, of Grandview, WV passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital.

Born in Beckley, WV on May 27, 1971,  he was the son of William H. Moss Jr. of Grandview, and the late Nancy McGlothlin Moss.

Richie, as he was known by family and friends was a disabled carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, making knives, and working with his hands. He attended Bible Covenant Church in Beckley, WV.

Those survivors left to  cherish Richie's memory include his father, William H.  Moss Jr. of Grandview, with whom he made his home; two daughters, Megan McGraw and husband Garrett of Crab  Orchard, and Breann Moss  of Virginia; a sister Tammy McKenzie and husband Charles of Pomeroy, OH; a brother Jeffery Moss and wife Judy of Ghent; a special person who he loved as a daughter, Madison Ridenour of Cabin Creek. Two nephews, Jeffery Moss and Samuel McKenzie; a niece Leah McKenzie; He also leaves behind his pet, Max.

A Service to Celebrate The Life Of Richard Ellis Moss will be held at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Samuel Kinnaman officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.
