Rita Darlene Griffith

Rita Darlene Patrick Bennett Griffith, age 73, of Shady Spring, WV passed away at her home on Saturday, December 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 24, 1952 in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late Charles Patrick and Rachel Smith Patrick.

Rita had worked in administration for the Carpenter's Local Union. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and held a B.S. Degree in Business Administration.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Lane Bennett, and by a sister Carol Wilburn.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her son, J.D. Bennett and wife Misty of Ashtabula, OH; 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

A graveside rite and burial will be held at the Peters Cemetery at Dothan, WV on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Keith Manning officiating. There will be no visitation.
