Robert Jason Mcalpine

Robert "Jason" McAlpine, 51 years old, of Daniels, WV, went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2025 following a hard-fought battle with brain cancer.

Jason was born on March 2, 1973, to Bob and Shirley McAlpine. Jason proudly served his country in the United States Army, and retired after 20 years of dedicated service.

He was also a devout Christian, having professed his life to Christ as a young man. He lived a full life in his 51 years, and it was a life to truly be proud of. It was well spent serving the Lord, his country, and being devoted to his family whom he adored. He met his wife Lisa at his hometown church where they both attended. They were married in December of 1999 and they have one beautiful daughter, Alanna, who was Jason's pride and joy. They moved a few times at the beginning of his service, before settling in Parkton, NC for the last several years of his military career. Upon retiring from the military, they decided to come back home to West Virginia. They were home only a short time before discovering that Jason had cancer. He put up a brave fight, with Lisa and his family ever at his side, but the Lord decided to call him home. Jason and Lisa had just celebrated their silver anniversary this past December.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents Bob and Shirley, his loving wife Lisa Richmond McAlpine, his daughter Alanna, his two sisters Debbie and Linda, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be you dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9 KJV

A memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Robert Jason McAlpine at the Ghent Volunteer Fire Department, Ghent, WV on Saturday, May 17,2025 at 2:00 p.m.
