Robert Tilley

Robert Tilley, 78, of Beckley went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

He was born and raised in Pineville, West Virginia and was a graduate of Pineville High School. Following high school he went on to proudly serve as a member of the United States Air Force for 4 years with a deployment to Okinawa Japan. After serving his country he went on to own and operate his own business Chemtek Corporation. In light of all of his successes he was most proud of his family.

He married his high school, sweetheart Carolyn together they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage raising three children and having 8 grandchildren. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Carolyn Tilley. Three children Robin Roop (Gordie), David Tilley (Nicole) and Carrie Peters (Michael); Eight Grandchildren, Nicholas Roop, Austin Roop, Cole Tilley, Blake Tilley, Taylor Peters, Bransen Peters, Jackson Tilley and Grayson Tilley.

His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Doc Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at  Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family from noon until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
