Roger Lee Daniels

Roger Lee Daniels, age 77, of Shady Spring, WV passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV following a short illness.

Born on April 14, 1948 in Clinton, Boone County, WV, he was the son of the late Junior Frank Daniels and Pauline Bailey Daniels.

Mr. Daniels was a retired maintenance supervisor for the Holiday Inn at Beckley, WV.

He enjoyed doing lawn work at his home, and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ethel Chapman Daniels; two brothers, Roman and Eddie Daniels; a sister Becky Gibson.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his son Stanley Godbey and wife Sonja of Halifax, Virginia, and their children. Several nieces and nephews, and a brother-in-law Jack Chapman and wife Frances of Cool Ridge also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Funeral Chapel of the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home at Shady Spring, WV on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Keith Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Friday.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
