Roger Lee Thatcher, Jr.

Roger Lee Thatcher Jr., age 48, of Maple Fork, WV passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV on Sunday, March 1, 2026, following a short illness.

Born on December 3, 1977 in Bethesda, Maryland, he was the son of the late Roger Lee Thatcher Sr. and Terri Kidwell Thatcher.

Roger, as he was known by his family and friends, worked in pool installation service. He enjoyed hunting, guns, and watching Fox News.

Those surviving left to cherish his memory include his wife Lois Angela Davis Thatcher; two children, Roger Lee Thatcher III and Hunter Jade Thatcher;  step daughter Mysti Matney; step grandchildren, Emma Stowers, Chessie and Wayne Matney Jr; two sisters, Jennifer Jordan and Michelle Jenkins Thatcher; two brothers Christopher and Benjamin Thatcher; his best friend Scott Manor.

Graveside rites and burial will be held at Blue Ridge  Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 2:30 PM, with Pastor Jim Bowyer officiating.

There will be no visitation.
