Pastor Ronald Lee Browning, age 70 of Beckley, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, February 7, 2015.
Mr. Browning was born on November 7, 1944 in Taplin, W.Va. and was the son of the late Theodore Browning and Nina Brooks Browning.
He attended Gilbert High School in Mingo County, and was a US Army Veteran.
Mr. Browning was serving as the Pastor of the Cool Ridge Community Church at Cool Ridge and was also serving as a chaplain at the Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley. He also was a Boy Scouts leader, serving many years.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rexanna Walker Browning; a sister Betty Browning Heath of Marion, Va.; a brother, Ralph Browning and his wife Anita, of Beaver, and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Browning was preceded in death by his first wife of 46 years, Libby Lowe Browning, a son Brian Browning, and by his daughter Rhonda Lynn Browning.
Funeral services will be conducted to Celebrate the life of Pastor Ronald Browning on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 1 p.m., with Rev. Larry Lilly and Rev. Bobby Kinder officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity.
Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #32 Honor Guard.
