Ronald Gene Nitschke

Ronald Nitschke, 64, of Midway, West Virginia found peace in the arms of God on February 2, 2025. He was born July 17, 1960 in St. Louis Missouri. He graduated from, St. Charles High School in 1979. He then met his one and only for a lifetime and married, August 8, 1981. They had their first daughter in May of 1982, then another daughter in 1983, and a son in 1985.

He installed flooring for 28 years and it was his passion. He was diagnosed with PLS in 2009, which was an awful illness, and then ALS in December of 2024. He fought a hard fight for a long time.

Ronald was preceded by his father, Robert Leroy Nitschke and brother, Robert Dennis Nitschke.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Nitschke of Mesa, Arizona, his one and only for a lifetime wife, Gretta Nitschke; daughter, Melissa Todd and husband Jerry Todd of Midway, WV; daughters, Roni Abbott; son, Robert Nitschke of Midway; and stepson, Jason Haymaker of Indiana, 7 grandchildren; Chasity and Joshua West, Kaycee Abbott, Colton, Carter, and Clayton Nitschke of Missouri, Emma Haymaker of Indiana, 3 beautiful great grandchildren with 2 unborn great grandchildren; sisters, Rhonda Combs and Debbie Buskhol of Mesa, Arizona; nieces, nephews, cousins and so many more who loved him dearly.

Ronald leaves this world with a special impact on so many who loved him. Dear Dad, "please give me the power, wisdom, and strength I need to trust you with my life. Thank you, come what may, our future is bright with you." (SON)

His wishes were to be cremated and remains released in the ocean. We will celebrate his life on his birthday, July 17, 2025, on the ocean side.
