Rosemary Plumley

Rosemary Plumley, age 96, of Beckley, WV passed away at the Oak Hill Place in Oak Hill, WV on Friday, July 19, 2024.

Born on September 12, 1927 in Abraham, she  was the daughter of the late George Washington Plumley and Lena Bell Toothman Plumley.

Mrs. Plumley was a homemaker, and a member of Oak Grove Christian Church. She enjoyed singing, attending church, and cooking for her family.  Mrs. Plumley also served as a caregiver, and loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Morrison Plumley; a son  Morrison Plumley Jr.,  two daughters Diana Gillette and Judith Carol Plumley; by brothers, Amos, Lester, Garland, and Rheo Plumley; sisters, Arbutus Bennett, Faye Pyatt, Madaline Redden, and Etheline Adkins.

Those survivors left to cherish her  memory include her children, Larry Plumley of Piney View, and Patty Tweedy and husband Jim of Beckley; a daughter-in-law Judy Plumley Aliff and husband John of Beckley;  a son Randy Scott and wife Roxanne of  Ironton, Ohio; a brother Lloyd Plumley of  Shady Spring; 21 grandchildren, countless great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 1 PM with Pastor Brian Richmond and Pastor Colton Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow at the Allen Plumley Cemetery at Plumley Mountain. Friends may visit with the family from 11 AM until service time on Monday at the funeral home.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
