Ruby Bennett

Ruby Bennett, age 90, of Beaver, WV passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.

Born on May 28, 1935 at Pluto, WV, she was the daughter of the late Clark Bennett and Ida Mae Smith Bennett.

Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker, and was of the Seventh Day Adventist faith. She loved children, gardening, music and animals.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her husband John David Bennett; four children, Gary John Bennett, Louella Margaret Bennett, Melvin James Bennett and Danita Rae Simmons; brothers Leonard Bennett, Paul Bennett, Clifford Bennett, Richard Bennett, and Jake Bennett.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, Loretta Ruby Bennett of Beckley, Raydean Bennett and wife Linda Lou of Beaver, and Ernie Ralph Bennett of Beckley; grandchildren, Kermit Ray "Buddy" Bennett, John Dean Bennett, and Danita Renee Smith; great grandchildren, Jared Green, Gerald Bennett, Brittany Green, Makayla Green, Danielle and Gabrielle Simmons, Allyssa Simmons, A.J. Simmons, Blake Smith, Ashlea Nicole Bennett, Megan Lee Bennett, and Brooke Michelle Bennett; seven great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Shady Spring, WV on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Bennett Cemetery at Bennett Mountain near Pluto, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
