Rev. Ruth Ann Bragg, age 79, of Irish Mountain, WV went home to be with the Lord on July 8, 2026 at Wake Med in Raleigh, North Carolina following a short illness.
Born on August 9, 1946 at Irish Mountain, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Meadows and Maycle Richmond Meadows.
Ruth dedicated her life to caring for others. She faithfully served as a caregiver through the Commission On Aging, until the time of her passing, reflecting the compassion and selflessness that defined her life.
Above all else, Ruth loved the Lord. A devoted member of Shady Spring Pentecostal Holiness Church, her faith was the foundation of everything she did. She placed God first in her life, and lived as an example of Christian love, kindness, and generosity. Her warm smile could light up any room, and gentle spirit touched everyone she met. She never hesitated to give of herself, or help someone in need. Her greatest joy was her family, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lee Bragg; a grandson, Jason Lee Bragg, and a sister Shirley Bragg.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, Pamela Hall and husband Michael of Willow Springs, NC, Melissa Redden and husband Kevin of Lookout, Roger Bragg and wife Pamela of Ghent, Rose Calliope and husband Daniel of Cool Ridge, Lee Bragg and companion Jessica of Nimitz, Heather Reyna and companion Alex of Winston-Salem, NC, and Richard Bragg of Winston-Salem, NC; Nineteen Grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, all who gave her great joy in her life; sisters, Sharon O’Hara of Angier, NC, and Sandra Garten and husband Bobby of Mabscott. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that Ruth has been welcomed into the arms of her Savior. Her unwavering faith, generous heart, gentle spirit, and unconditional love for her family, will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
