Sadie Richmond

Sadie Fern Richmond, age 89, of Mabscott, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

Born on September 18, 1935, on Freezeland Mountain, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Richard Richmond; by parents Grayson and Adeline Bragg,  and by three brothers and three sisters.

She was a homemaker and loved her family dearly.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, Donald and wife Karen Richmond of Shady Spring, Joe Richmond of Mabscott, and Betty Richmond of Beckley.

Four  grandchildren, Brittany and husband William Denny Jr. of Bradley, Alex Ray Richmond of Shady Spring, Julie and  husband Joey Stadtler of Mabscott, and Stacy and husband Aaron Loudermilk   of Mabscott.

Seven great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.

She will be missed by nieces, nephews, and one special nephew  Harold Bragg that checked on her.

A special grandson Alex that took time to visit her and made sure grandma always had a  jar of honey.

She also leaves behind special friend Bill Richmond that was always sending her eggs and she always enjoyed talking to him.

Mrs. Richmond's wishes were to be cremated.

The family is planning a memorial service to honor her life on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Beaver Baptist Church in Beaver. Family and friends are welcome to attend.  Pastor Steve Gibson will he officiating.
