Sandra Merlene Worrell, age 83, of Daniels, WV passed away at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

Born on January 7, 1943 at Whitby, WV, she was the daughter of the late Paul Halstead and Maxine Ellison Halstead.

Mrs. Worrell was a homemaker, and enjoyed University of Alabama Football games and bowling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Gregory Brian Worrell; two sisters, Treva Halstead and Betty Bryant, a niece Jamie Quesenberry and her husband Ronald; and her special pets, Bama Bear and Molly.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her husband of nearly 65 years, Gilbert Worrell; one granddaughter, Stephanie Kelly and husband Jeremy of Chesapeake, Ohio; two great grandsons, Jase and Sawyer; great niece Heather Quesenberry and son Jeremiah; , a great nephew Stephen Quesenberry and wife Savannah, and her special pet Charlie; a nephew John Suptic and his wife Alison; a sister-in-law Sarah Smith; nephews Mack Worrell, Tom Smith, and Carl and Jeff Kessinger; nieces Jane Kiser, Debbie Meeks, Vera Lilly and Rita.

Funeral services to Celebrate The Life Of Sandra Worrell will be held at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Randy Smithson officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers will be Perry Wilson, Stephen Quesenberry, John Suptic, Tom Smith, Mauro DiLorenzo and Jimmy DiLorenzo.
