Sandy Blake Copenhaver, 40, of Ghent, West Virginia, went to Heaven on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
Born May 28, 1985, Blake was the son of the late Dennis Gary Copenhaver and Nora Canterbury Greene.
Blake leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will live on through all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved son, the light of his life Micah; his parents, Kevin and Nora Greene; his sister and best friend, Nikki Kirk and her husband Isaac; brother David Greene and wife Sharon; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins; his best friend, Lisa Marshall; and the countless lives he touched every single day.
Blake found recovery and through that journey, discovered his purpose in helping others. He worked as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist for the Fayette County Health Department on their Quick Response Team, where he dedicated his life to helping others achieve and maintain their recovery. His compassion, understanding, and willingness to help anyone in need made a lasting impact on his community.
Blake was known for his big heart, his kindness, and his unwavering support for others. To know Blake was truly to love him.
His story does not end here—his strength and compassion continue through the many people he inspired.
A celebration of life will be this Friday, April 24, 2026 at 7 pm at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Shady Spring, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 5 pm until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
