Sharon "Sherrie" Ann Barr

Sharon Ann Barr, age 80, of Sophia, WV passed away September 17, 2024 at 10:30 p.m. at her daughter Tara's home in Beckley, WV.

Sherrie, as she was known, was born in Stoots Hollow in Eccles WV on January 24, 1944 to the late John 'Peanie' Bullick and Ines Anna Gooskey Bullick.

Sherrie graduated from Trap Hill High School in 1961 and worked for two years Beckley Manufacturing installing transistors in radios before meeting and marrying her husband of 56 years, Danny Dean Barr, who just a few months ago preceded her in death.

Sherrie loved children and was a long-time supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She enjoyed watching The Andy Griffith Show and spending time with her beloved fur baby, Chance.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son John Garret 'Gary' Bullick, of Beckley, daughter Tara Melanie Barr, of Beckley, brother John Michael Bullick and sister Linda Carol Bullick both of Beckley, and close family friend Mark Ford of Beckley.

In accordance with her wishes Sherrie will be cremated and no service will be held.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
