Sharon Lynn Turner

Sharon Lynn Turner, age 67, of Athens, WV passed peacefully at Pine Lodge Nursing Facility in Beckley, WV on November 8, 2025 following a long battle with kidney disease.

Sharon was born September 2, 1958 in Princeton WV. She spent over 12 years as a waitress and was known for her cheerful smile at the Sweet Shop in Athens. Sharon was an avid church member and served as an AWANA leader for several years at Mt. Jackson Baptist Church in Athens. She loved her cats and cherished time spent with her beloved pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents Stewart Wayne Turner and Merlie Fain Turner of Athens, sister Mildred Lourena Coburn, brothers Ronald Jackson Turner and Jerry Wayne Turner.

Survivors include her sister Brenda Turner Riley, sisters- in- law Tyann Maxie Turner, Lynne McKinley Turner,  Terri T. Turner and many nieces and nephews.

The family has honored Sharon's wishes of cremation.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of her life to be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 188 Lighthouse Circle, Pipestem, WV from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM
