Sherman Roy Perdue

Sherman Roy Perdue age 65 of Cool Ridge, WV passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.

Born on June 15, 1958 in Mullens, he was the son of the late Herbert Roy Perdue and Lenore Kagey Perdue.

Mr. Perdue grew up in Rhodell  and  was a 1977 graduate of Independence High School. He was a  retired maintenance technician for Samuel and Sons in Fort Mill, SC. He enjoyed making all of his family and friends happy, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Wayne Perdue and a sister Cynthia Bishop.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of nearly 32 years, Shirley Wood Perdue; his children David Dykes and wife Amy of Roanoke, VA, grandsons Will Dykes  and Bradley Dykes, both of Roanoke, VA. Siblings, Dwight Perdue and wife Pam of O'fallion, IL, Roger Perdue and wife Wilda of Lanark, WV, and Charlene Stover and her husband Lyle of Beckley, WV. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Sherman Roy Perdue's life  will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Shady Spring Chapel.
