Sherry Bonita Honaker

Sherry Bonita Honaker, 59, of Beckley, went to be with her heavenly father on January 5, 2025.

Born November 2, 1965 in Chicago to the late Joseph and Reta Akers.

Sherry was a loving mother, sister, mawmaw, and a loyal friend to many. She enjoyed dancing and karaoke. She loved watching her grandson Zachary. Sherry received a degree in Medical Billing and Coding from Valley College.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Zachary (Tori) Honaker; sister, Terri (Shawn) Smith; sister, Tammy (Rick) Holsten; brother, Danny Akers; brother, Bryan Akers; grandson, Zachary Honaker (who she called her JJ) ; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is survived by her cherished dog, Mud, who was always by her side. Sherry had a life long friend Greg Treadway. She enjoyed spending time with and making great memories with him.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel, 1901 South Kanawha Street, Beckley with Pastor Jeff Sadler to officiate the service. Friends and family may come to visit at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be directly after at Sunset Memorial park. In lieu of flowers all donations can be made to Rose & Quesenberry 1901 S. Kanawha Street Beckley, WV 25801. To honor Sherry's memory, there will be a dinner to celebrate her life at Coal City Fire Department following the services.
