Stella Mahan

Stella Mae (Deed) Blevins Mahan, 81, of Soak Creek, WV passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Born February 26,1943 in Helen, WV Deed was the daughter of Clarence Monroe Blevins and Luella Wood Blevins.

She was an incredibly intelligent woman who feared little and loved reading, gardening, canning, collecting, investing and learning new skills. She was fiercely devoted to her family and loved ones and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents;  a son, Glenn Mahan; five brothers, Barney, Ray, Leonard, Elmer, and Lacy Blevins; six sisters, Oma Prater, Clara Hensley, Bonnie Atkinson, Brenda Milam, Mary Jane Anderson, and Debra Blevins; and several nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Timmy Mahan of Soak Creek; a daughter, Sabrina (Jamie) Strickler of Charleston; grandsons, Stephen and Shane Johnson of Fort Wayne, IN; a brother, Joe (Frances) Blevins of Oregonia, OH; and two sisters, Joyce Bell and Janet Harold of Soak Creek.

The family will hold an intimate, private service on Wednesday, November 27th with burial to follow at the Old Blevins Homeplace in Helen, WV at a later date.
