Sterling "Junior" Edward Lilly, Jr.

Sterling Edward Lilly Jr., age 53, of Whitby, WV passed away at Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division of Saturday, December 23, 2023.

Born on May 8, 1970 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Sterling Edward Lilly Sr. and Norma Jean Archie Lilly.

Junior, as he was known by his family and friends was an EVS Technician with Raleigh General Hospital, at the Raleigh Medical Complex in Beckley, WV.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, biking and riding his 4-wheeler. He loved to "tinker" as a jack of-all trades.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Jeremy Lee Lilly; two sisters Thelma "Sissy" Louise Lilly Blevins and Rosie Jane Lilly Bolen.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of 25 years, Carla Everhart Lilly; a stepdaughter Ashley Braley and husband Kory of Lexington, NC; Five sisters, Ann Cline and husband Zandle of Beckley, Sherlene Ferguson of Josephine, Violet Lambert and husband Danny of Coal City, Sherry Lilly of Beckley, and Terry Lilly of Beckley. Three step grandchildren, Tristan, Liam, and Evelynn; many nieces and nephews, and his special pets Molly and Toby.

Graveside rites and burial will be held at 3 PM at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV on Thursday, December 28, 2023 with Brother Stanley Chafin officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
