Tammy Lynn Ramey-Gibson of Beckley, WV met Jesus on Wednesday, July 30 2025.
Born September 4, 1964 she was the daughter of Annamae Sawyers and Ed Sawyers of Backus Mt. and the late Bill Ramey and Debbie Ramey of Phyllis, Kentucky.
She is preceded in death with two pieces of her heart, her children Shannon Chapman, Brittney Moody, her baby brother Allen Ramey, whom we know had their arms wide open waiting at heavens gates. Also preceding her in death was her father Billy Ramey.
Those left behind to cherish her memories, are her children who she loved endlessly, PJ Moody, Miranda Cook and Tiffany Whitt. Special daughter- in- law Lariat, forever sons- in- law, JC Cook & Adam Whitt. Grandchildren who were her world, Abby, Alyssa Adreann, Star, Remington, Chevi, Axle, Kavin, Trever, Makenzie, Tyler, Jacen, Haizlee, Lake, Briar, and Mossy. Mother Anna Mae( Eddie) and mother, Debbie, sisters Marsha, Billie, Flo, and Kathy. Special friend Denton Chapman and best friend and cousin Wayne Harrah. Also surviving are aunts, uncles ,cousins and several nieces and nephews.
Tammy enjoyed spending every moment she could with her children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing especially when Shannon, Chinese trips with Britt, camping with friends and family, playing bingo, and loved thrift shopping. She also loved finding shells on the beach with Tiffany. She enjoyed flower shopping trips in Charleston with Miranda, and she always looked forward to spending time with her "baby boy" PJ every moment that she could. She was a "jack of all trades" and could do anything she set her mind to.
During Tammy's time on earth, she worked many trades. Her favorite was taking care of the kids at Cherry Hill Shelter and Walmart Photo lab where she met many great friends. She also took criminal justice at Mountain State University.
Anyone who knew Tammy, knew she had no filter and knew she was a free spirit and could make anyone laugh.
While her children were growing up she was the neighborhood "mom" and all the kids that came around loved her, and she loved them dearly. As she grew older she became the neighborhood Mawmaw where she loved everyone's kids like her own grandkids and she wouldn't have had it any other way. She will be truly missed, by her family, and friends.
